In recent years, the responsibilities traditionally handled by the human resources department have expanded to include various tasks now assigned to managers. This shift has impacted individuals who may lack the necessary skills or knowledge to effectively address these issues. The Human Resource Management workshop aims to equip managers with essential tools to handle a range of human resource situations, including interviewing, orientation, safety, harassment, discrimination, violence, discipline, and termination. By participating in this workshop, managers will develop the skills required to navigate these human resource challenges successfully.
Workshop Objectives:
• Understand the implications of different aspects of Human Resource Management on daily managerial responsibilities.
• Define key human resources terminology and subject matter.
• Enhance effectiveness in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining employees.
• Establish structured follow-up procedures for new employees.
• Act as advocates for employees' health and safety.
• Provide accurate and constructive feedback to employees.
• Handle disciplinary actions and terminations appropriately.
• Evaluate the strengths and opportunities of Human Resources within the workplace.
• Identify three areas for personal development within the field of Human Resources, as part of a personalized action plan.
